About Us

Region Blekinge is currently in an exciting development phase, shaping a new organization that brings together all operations into a common administration.

We consist of the areas of Health and Medical Care, Regional Development, HR, Finance, Service, and Development and IT. Concurrently, there is also a development of the new areas and internal culture.

Within the finance area, the organization’s combined resources for finance, accounting, and analysis are located. The area also includes the classification unit, business department, and ordering department for health and medical care as well as dental care. The mission of the finance area is to lead, develop, and support the organization’s work within procurement, finance, and analysis. The area has overall responsibility for processes related to planning, budgeting, follow-up, accounting, procurement, and classification, and continuously works to develop and implement common methodologies, models, and working methods within finance and procurement.

As a summer substitute and finance assistant in the accounting department, you will work alongside economists, system administrators, and finance assistants. We are a wonderful team of about 25 employees whose main mission is to support and serve all of Region Blekinge in the accounting area.

The Job

As a finance assistant in the accounting department, you will work broadly with various finance tasks. The tasks are primarily related to the region’s customer accounts and supplier accounts, including supplier invoices, patient and customer invoices, medical travel, cash accounting, and staffing the helpdesk phone during the department's phone hours.

Other common tasks may include:

  • account reconciliations
  • providing data for statistics to other operations
  • posting the region's incoming payments

About You

We are looking for someone with at least a high school education in finance, or equivalent that the employer deems comparable. Flexibility, prioritization skills, and the ability to see the big picture are therefore important qualities to adapt the work to the organization’s changing needs. As a person, you enjoy working independently, but you also thrive in a group and see development and change as a natural part of the job.

Through good communication skills, you can convey information in a pedagogical and easily understandable way regardless of the recipient, situation, and content. In this position, you need to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as it is required in daily work.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and collaboration skills.
